Friends who are family.

Stella had been very busy since the last time she had seen Mac when he had lost his uncle. She had heard from him by Lily that it was pregnant! She was very happy for his two best friends. James had not had a good meeting with Mac, he hoped that it would go better next time.

One evening she was with James at Lily and Mac place. They spent a good time together, Stella laughed like a kid with Lily in speaking of memory in their early career. Then they spoke of the future baby.

-So how's the pregnancy? said Stella

James was very quiet on his side, he wondered if he should talk to Mac that he was a good guy again or not.

Mac was beside Lily, both his hands resting around her and on her tummy, Mac was excited about being a dad and he was a little scared at the same time, he just hoped that he was gonna be a good dad to his unborn baby with Lily

Lily smiled at Stella and she said

-Pregnancy is going well, I'm scared because I do not know if I'll be a good mother, but otherwise I'm happy.

She looked at Mac.

-We are very happy.

Lily hesitated to tell her something, but she did.

-We chose Danny and Lindsay for godparents. I hope you're not mad at me. We promised that we would be godmothers of our baby.

Mac just kept his hands on her tummy, he placed a soft kiss on her neck as he was being very loving to her

-It's Normal that you're nervous, you're gonna be a great mom and a great dad Mac. Everything will be fine.

Stella then listened to what Lily told her she saw the sadness in his eyes, she got up and put a hand on his arm.

-Hey, I will not blame you, it's normal that Lindsay and Danny were selected. I'm happy for them and as for me I will be his aunt Stella and James his uncle.

James smiled softly, since his return from Iraq he was very quiet. Stella knew something was happen during his mission.

-So If you showed me the wall that you want me to paint in the room of my nephews and niece. she said to Lily

Mac showed Stella the room that they had picked for Baby Taylor and Mac was nervous about being a dad

Lily had promised her that if they had another baby, she was going to be the godmother. She let Mac show Stella baby's room. During that time, Lily asked James what he had.

Mac just hoped that he was gonna be a good dad, he knew that Lily was gonna be an amazing mom

Stella had reassured him that he would be a great dad, especially in reference with Lucy. She told him how proud she was of him by giving him a hug.

-You finally have your family!

She returned to the subject about her fiance, she wanted to know if his big brother was confident with James.

"I think Claire might of had a hand in this, she wanted me to be happy and now I am with Lily, I love her so much and she's everything to me, I'll let you know on the James thing", Mac said and he knew that she was right

-Claire is your guardian angel, she send you here. She sent you to Lily.

Stella smiled and then they returned to the living room. They had talked of old case, Lily could learn more about Mac too. Stella was then with lili go to the kitchen to make coffee and serve dessert.

-James spoke to you?

Stella had mentioned the case where Mac had saved Don's life after a buliding blew up and Mac had been trapped inside with Don and another guy

-Yes, he lost fellow. He saw them dead.

She knew it was hard for her friend, she gave her a huge hug.

-Just give him some time okay.

When she nodded, they were back in the living room. Lily sat next to mac by taking his hand.

-So when is the wedding?

Mac was taken off guard by that comment. he hadn't even thought about it

-Uhmm we didn't plan a date yet.

-This summer

Stella looked at James surprised.

-But you said it was complicated with your assignment.

-I don't care assignments, your happiness comes first. I want to marry you this summer.

-OMG, We doing it this summer!

-Yes babe.

Stella was crying of joy, James has embraced her, smiling for the first time. The army was hard for him, but his wife was his happiness.

It got Mac thinking maybe asking Lily to marry him but he wasn't sure if she would wanna be his wife or not

Lily jumped for joy at the news.

-OMG!!! I'll be your bridesmaid!!

She squeezed Stella into his arms crying with joy too.

Mac excused himself and went for a shower, he locked the door behind him

Lily apologize when Mac had left them. When they leave, she would see what Mac had.

-Honey are you okay?

She sits on the bed and said:

-You did not look happy to Jame and Stella, are you angry against them?

Mac tells her that it brought back a memory about Claire

Lily was relief, she held him in her arms and said,

-Stella wanted to ask you something about her marriage, but take your time.

She still kept her arms around him to comfort him.

Mac let his emotions show as he softly cried on her shoulder

Lily held him in his arms, comforting. After a little while she stroked his cheek and said,

-Come, will have to go to sleep. Tomorrow it will get better.

Once they got into bed, Mac held her close to him, he was scared of losing her

Stella on her side, she had had an argument with James. She hated when he spoke ill of Mac. Tell him that he still did not understand their friendship when they announce their marriage.

-Not again about it James!

-Yes again. Damn it!

-Okay! Say it!

-He is no longer your friend Stella, A true friend would have been happy.

-You say anything, he was sad! Sad because our happiness remind his wife Claire.

-Oh please that happened years ago!

James's words had just hurt her. Tears rose to her eyes. James went to Stella to apologize.

-Don't approach me.

Stella took his coat and left the house, she went to work retreat into his office. James knew he should never speak badly of Claire and he had to do. That night she had spent lying in his office in his chair.
