Someone we know (Mac)

Jason approached his boss for a discution they had. He had learned of the information that was perhaps closer to his patrol colleague. But this subject there was very sensitive, he had known a long time, but he had lost when their country had been attacked. He was in a restaurant at its dinner break, he had to tell Mac where he was to go faster on the next case after.

Mac had been drinking a coffee and eating a sandwich, he was thinking about his future with Lily and he realized just how happy he was for the first time in 10 years - since 9/11

Jason wondered if he should tell him about his discovery or not. He had a good team relationship start and he had no desire to destroy him.

-Can I say something I found recently?

Mac looked up at Jason, then nodded in reply

-You remember ten years ago you had to meet a friend of Claire in a restaurant and it was also an appointment to arrange for her best friend.

Claire had always watch over him giving signs like Lily. Now it was his meeting with Jason and she also send him to Stella, James was not good for her 'but someone else.

Mac nodded, he remembered Claire telling him that morning on 9/11

-Well the friend was me. I was supposed to meet you and this woman.

This was during a call with his mother, she had informed him that his colleague was the husband of Claire. The world was very small.

Mac was surprised by this whole thing

-I know this is huge to say, I did not know you were the husband of Claire, my mother told me. His mother was our neighbor and that's how I've known her.

He smiled gently

-I meet at least one of the people that I had to know that night.

Mac nodded, he thought about Claire a lot

This was the first time he spoke about Claire and the last too. He knew that was a sensitive subject.

-You're lucky to finally have a beautiful family. You deserve the greatest happiness.

Mac nodded in reply

After their break, Jason had to take a super close location. It was a golf course to hit balls. What better than golf between men.

Mac was good but Jason had no idea just how good Mac was

Jason was good too, but he could see how much Mac could beat him for some shot.

-Good god, you are a professional and you never tell me?

"Claire used to do this and we both did together", Mac said

Jason smiled, thinking of Claire, she was a very athletic woman.

-Who was the best?

Mac told him that they were the same

-I recall me one time, we were going to play baseball with friends, and she had to throw the ball pretty well, but she had not target a great spot on the catcher. It had been a defining moment she loved to laugh.

He threw the ball very far and he watched Mac saying,

-Who I was supposed to meet that night?

Mac told him that it was Stella

Jason was going to throw the ball when he had heard the name Stella.

-Wait what? Stella, the Stella, ours boss? You know her?

He could not believe the world was really small.

Mac told Jason that he used to work with Stella back in New York and they'd been friends for years and Mac also said that Stella had been best friends with Claire too

Jason was in shock, why she had never told him about that. He felt that it had a huge wall around it and that he would never cross it.

-I thought I knew her, but I go back to square one.

Mac wondered what the enxt step was

After having a day between good friends, he would bring home Mac, saying hello to Lily of him who was on maternity leave. Jason was glad to get along with Mac, he finally know him better. A day at station, Jason was talking to Stella who was hiding something to his team. She had a little belly if we looked good. Jason didn't knew that when we approached it a little too much to her, he could deal the big protective brother of the boss.
